Job Description
As a Junior IT Recruiter, you will be responsible for supporting the recruitment efforts for IT professionals, collaborating with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, and helping to identify top talent for a variety of IT roles. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone with a passion for technology and a desire to grow in the IT recruitment field.
You will be part of a dynamic team, gaining exposure to the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to assisting in interviews and onboarding. This role requires a keen eye for identifying top talent and a proactive approach to sourcing candidates in the competitive IT job market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Candidate Sourcing and Talent Mapping:
- Use various sourcing methods (job boards, social media, LinkedIn, internal databases, etc.) to identify potential candidates for open IT positions.
- Maintain an up-to-date talent pool by actively sourcing passive candidates for current and future hiring needs.
- Screen resumes and applications to match candidates’ qualifications with job requirements.
- Initial Candidate Screening:
- Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate skills, qualifications, and interest in the role.
- Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaboration with Hiring Managers:
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand specific job requirements and cultural fit for IT positions.
- Provide updates to hiring managers on the status of candidate pipelines and offer recommendations based on candidate profiles.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate data.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- 0-1 years of experience in IT recruitment, recruitment coordination, or a related HR role. Experience in an IT recruitment agency is a plus. (Fresh can also apply)
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with various recruitment tools, and job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc.).
- Basic understanding of IT terminology, programming languages, and technical skill sets (such as software development, networking, cybersecurity, etc.) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and internal teams.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the IT recruitment field.
- Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of recruitment marketing and social media tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
Competencies:
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in reviewing resumes, matching candidates with job descriptions, and managing candidate data.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a constantly evolving, fast-paced IT recruitment environment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to overcome challenges related to candidate sourcing, job matching, and overall recruitment.
