The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is seeking experienced advocates to serve as individual consultants for its Directorates of Law under the Inland Revenue Services. The role will strengthen FBR’s legal operations, support compliance, improve litigation outcomes, and provide advisory services.

Assist Directorates of Law-IR in preparing legal submissions and representing FBR in appellate forums.
Conduct research on complex tax matters.
Review and advise on notices, replies, and orders issued under tax laws.
Support FBR officials in litigation and legal risk management.
Prepare regular reports on legal proceedings and outcomes.
Coordinate with field offices on legal matters and summarize significant cases.
Review and classify pending litigation by value, complexity, and legal merit for strategic prioritization.
Draft settlement proposals and assist in negotiation strategies for alternative dispute resolution cases.
Plead cases before High Courts, ATIR, or FTO only when assigned.
Perform other legal tasks as assigned by Directorates of Law-IR or Law & Prosecution Customs.

LLB degree from a recognized university.
Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in High Court, preferably in tax or customs law.
Enrolled Advocate eligible to appear before High Courts.
