Qualifications & Experience:
LLB or Bachelor’s in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Public Policy, or related field from HEC-recognized university.
Preference for LLM, Bar-at-Law, or Master’s degree.
Minimum 10 years (Bachelor’s) or 8 years (Master’s) professional experience in competition law, consumer protection, regulatory enforcement, or fair trade regulation.
Skills & Expertise:
Strong knowledge of competition law, market dynamics, and economic principles.
Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage teams and lead enforcement actions.
Experience in market investigations, regulatory affairs, or legal/economic analysis is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage enforcement under the Competition Act, 2010.
Investigate anti-competitive practices such as cartels, abuse of dominance, bid rigging, and deceptive marketing.
Draft inquiry reports and enforcement orders.
Conduct market research, data collection, and economic analysis.
Coordinate across departments for effective enforcement.
Recommend policy improvements based on international best practices.
