The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is inviting applications for the position of Chief Operating Officer / Airport Manager (EG-07) at the New General Aviation Aerodrome in Lahore (near Muridke). This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of airport operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing aviation projects.

The role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in aviation, armed forces, or corporate organizations, who have a strong background in operational management, project execution, and safety standards. The position requires strategic leadership, the ability to handle financial and commercial responsibilities, and hands-on experience in managing aerodrome or flying training operations.

Candidates with qualifications in Engineering or Aviation Management, along with relevant experience and certifications such as ATPL or Qualified Flying Instructor, will be preferred. Key Responsibilities

Manage all daily operations at the New General Aviation Aerodrome, Lahore.

Ensure the airport meets regulatory requirements, including Air Operator Certificate (AOC) standards and ICAO regulations.

Implement and oversee the Safety Management System (SMS) to maintain high safety standards.

Lead aviation projects and manage aerodrome and flying training operations efficiently.

Handle financial planning, project management, and commercial or contract agreements.

Supervise and coordinate staff to ensure smooth airport operations.

Maintain operational quality and compliance with all aviation regulations.

Provide strategic guidance for airport growth, development, and performance improvement.

Support instructional flying and training programs as needed.

FAQs – Chief Operating Officer / Airport Manager (EG-07) – PAA

Contract Duration: 3 years, extendable.

Pay Package: Rs. 514,800 per month with 5% annual increment.

Qualification: Bachelor’s in Engineering or Aviation Management (HEC-recognized). War Course degree accepted.

Experience: 15+ years in Aviation, Armed Forces, or Corporate sector, with 10+ years in senior roles. ATPL or Flying Instructor experience preferred.
