About the Role:

Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional for the position of Head of Internal Audit. The role is critical for overseeing audit, compliance, risk management, and internal control procedures across the organization. This appointment will be made under the criteria outlined in the State Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act 2023, SOE Ownership and Management Policy 2023, PNSC Ordinance 1979 (as amended), PNSC Service Regulations 2025, and CMU Guidelines for C-Level appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead internal audit, compliance, and risk management functions.
• Design and implement effective internal control procedures to ensure financial reliability.
• Ensure governance and compliance with applicable regulations, particularly in public sector or SOE environments.
• Provide leadership, negotiation, and people management skills while fostering integrity and decision-making excellence.
• Utilize ERP systems, financial systems, and data analytics tools to support internal controls and risk management.

Required Qualification & Experience:

• Fellow member of ICAP, ICMAP, ACCA, or CPA.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in audit, finance, compliance, risk management, or internal controls.
• Maximum age limit 50 years as of the advertisement date.
• Preference for candidates with experience in shipping, SOEs, or listed companies at Chief Internal Auditor/Head of Internal Audit level.
• Must meet the Fit and Proper Criteria under Schedule IV of the SOEs Act.
