Competition Commission of Pakistan has announced a key position for supervising the construction of its new office building in G 10/4, Mauve Area, Islamabad. The selected candidate will lead the project’s progress, quality, timelines and cost control from start to finish.

Qualification

You must hold a degree in Civil Engineering with valid PEC registration. You need at least fifteen years of experience in building and construction. Experience in handling large or mega public sector projects will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare procurement documents with consultants under Public Procurement Rules
• Estimate costs for all work packages of the CCP office building
• Oversee construction activities and control project costs
• Coordinate with the project engineer and consultants
• Ensure quality of construction according to drawings, standards and regulations
• Attend third party inspections
• Review contractor claims for variations, extensions and compensation
• Verify measurements and certify interim payment certificates
• Approve contractor work programs and resource planning
• Approve construction methods
• Prepare monthly progress reports and maintain complete site documentation
• Verify as built drawings at project completion
• Inspect works during the defect liability period
• Resolve contractual issues under PPRA rules
• Train and guide engineering staff
• Assist in hiring technical staff when required
• Perform any additional construction related tasks assigned by the authority

Two years, extendable based on performance
