The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Senior Social Specialist under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment and Institutional Support Project (KP-RIISP). Funded by the World Bank, this project focuses on improving public services and strengthening institutions in newly merged and underdeveloped areas of the province.
The position is part of the Project Coordination and Management Unit (PCMU) within the Planning and Development Department. The selected candidate will manage social development initiatives, support community participation, and ensure smooth coordination between departments for effective project implementation.
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, under financing from the International Development Agency (IDA – World Bank Group), has launched the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment and Institutional Support Project (KP-RIISP). The project aims to strengthen service capabilities for delivery of basic services and enhance institutional infrastructure to improve development outcomes in the poorest and newly merged areas in the province.
The Project Coordination and Management Unit (PCMU) will ensure improved monitoring and coordination for project implementation. The PCMU will work with the Steering Committee and relevant line departments, including the Project Implementation Units (PIUs) in C&W, Irrigation, PHED, Agriculture, and Local Government departments.
