The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) in Islamabad is hiring a well qualified and dedicated Registrar (SPS-12) in 2025. This senior role is suited for professionals with an MBBS, BDS, MPH, MHPE, or a Master’s in Medical Administration, along with at least 10 years of leadership or administrative experience in the healthcare sector. The Registrar will be responsible for managing registrations of medical and dental practitioners and institutions, implementing Council policies, and ensuring smooth and transparent operations. This is a contract position for three years, which may be extended based on performance. Candidates can apply within 15 days of publication (last date: 10 September 2025).

Key Responsibilities – Registrar (PM&DC)

As the Registrar, you will play a leading role in managing and guiding the overall operations of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. Your main focus will be to ensure that the Council runs smoothly, fairly, and in line with national regulations.

Oversee the registration of doctors, dentists, and medical/dental institutions across Pakistan.

Implement the policies and decisions of the PM&DC Council effectively and transparently.

Supervise administrative teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the Council.

Work closely with government authorities, universities, and health sector bodies to maintain high standards in medical and dental education.

Develop systems to keep accurate records of practitioners, institutions, and training programs.

Provide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to ensure the Council’s goals are achieved.

Manage staff performance, training, and professional development for improved efficiency.

Prepare reports, proposals, and recommendations to support the Council in decision-making.

Uphold transparency, accountability, and merit in all administrative processes.

Terms & Conditions:

1. Initially the recruitment shall be made on a three-year contract extendable by the PM&DC Council on satisfactory performance.
2. Applicant should be citizen of Pakistan.
